What We Do

RemeDocs is an automated PDF remediation platform. Upload a document, and our engine analyzes it against WCAG 2.1 AA, PDF/UA-1, and Section 508 standards, then applies the fixes automatically.

Our Approach

Every document goes through a three-phase pipeline:

• Analysis -- the document is scanned for accessibility issues against all applicable standards
• Remediation -- AI-powered fixes are applied: tag structure, alt text, reading order, tables, language, and metadata
• Output -- a fully compliant PDF and detailed audit certificate are delivered

Built on Tesseract OCR, PyMuPDF, pikepdf, and the Claude vision model for accurate image descriptions and structural analysis.

RemeDocs is built by a team with deep roots in accessibility compliance, document engineering, and enterprise software.

• Tyler Jensen, Director of Compliance — 12+ years in federal accessibility regulation. Former Section 508 coordinator at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), where he led compliance programs across 20+ agencies.
• Kate Mitchell, Lead Accessibility Engineer — IAAP Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA). Active contributor to the PDF/UA-2 working group at the PDF Association. Previously built accessibility tooling at Adobe.
• Brad Thompson, Head of Product — Led accessibility programs at two Fortune 500 companies before joining RemeDocs. Focused on making compliance scalable for organizations managing thousands of documents.
